Fringe Season 3 Episode 2 - The Box

In the prime universe, Thomas Jerome Newton sends three men to recover a box buried in the basement of a residence, which is part of Walternate's doomsday device. The box emits ultrasonic sound waves putting those in the vicinity into a trance before it fatally "cooks" their brain. When the men open the box, everyone in the house apart from a deaf person dies. He returns the box to “Fauxlivia”, who kills him and gives the box to Newton, who deploys it at a subway station killing several people. Peter manages to disable the device after having his hearing disrupted by close gunfire. He is nearly killed by an oncoming train that he couldn't hear, but is saved at the last second by Fauxlivia. Walter and Nina attend the reading of the last will and testament of William Bell. Bell leaves a note to Walter urging him "Don't be afraid to cross the line" along with a key to a safety deposit box. In the box Walter finds 100% of the shares of Massive Dynamic, making him the sole shareholder. At the end of the episode, Peter is tinkering with disarmed box while Fauxlivia communicates with the parallel universe indicating that "Peter is engaged" and receives instructions to work on Walter.
